Cruelty-Free Brands at Ulta (2019)

Updated 8/13/2019

The first time I walked into Ulta looking for cruelty-free alternatives to the makeup or skincare product I just ran out of, I found myself researching the brand of interest… extensively. My 10-minute Ulta run would easily turn into over an hour. Do they sell in China? Are they owned by a cruel parent company? Do they allow third party testing? These are questions that I couldn’t get answers to unless I reached out to the brand directly. So, I have reached out to each brand to put together a list of 100% cruelty-free brands at Ulta so you can keep your 10-minute Ulta run to… 10 minutes.

If you are looking for cruelty-free alternatives for makeup or skincare at Ulta, you can use this list to shop online or in stores. You can take this list with you as it is also mobile friendly. All the brands listed here are 100% cruelty-free and meet the following criteria:

  1. They do not test on animals during any part of production.
  2. They do not order materials or ingredients from any supplier who tests on animals.
  3. They do not allow third parties to test their products on animals on their behalf.
  4. They do not sell their products in countries that require animal testing (i.e. mainland China).
  5. They are not owned by a parent company who tests on animals.

Below is an A-Z list of cruelty-free brands you can find at Ulta. Many of these brands offer vegan products as well, and I have also listed which brands are 100% vegan.
