Who doesn’t love vibrant, radiant skin? We all want that, but especially in the summer when we’re showing off a little more skin in our tube tops and yellow polka dot bikinis (are those still in style?) 😉 One way to achieve glowing skin is to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. Shed those dead, dull skin cells and reveal younger, brighter skin. Body scrubs are also ESSENTIAL if you use self-tanning products to keep your flawless glow, well, flawless. If you’re looking for the best cruelty-free body polishes, you’ve come to the right place! Welcome to Part 9 of the Cruelty-Free Summer Series: Cruelty-Free Body Polishes.

cruelty-free body polishes

I’ve picked out the best five body polishes that I have ever tried and are trending right now. They have really helped keep my skin healthy and glowing. I have reviewed some of them previously on my Instagram, which is where you can find all my product reviews and cruelty-free updates! Every brand listed below is 100% cruelty-free, including their parent companies. I have also stated which products are vegan-friendly.

1. VeOrganics Coffee & Chocolate Organic Body Scrub

Okay guys. If you want the best smelling body scrub in the entire world, this is it. This chocolate-y goodness smells strong like a chocolate mocha when you open the lid, but in the most perfect way. This scrub claims to be a premium moisturizing, tightening and detoxifying exfoliant. After using the scrub, my skin felt AMAZING. My skin was so unbelievably soft. The scrub made my skin feel firm, clean, airy, and detoxified. The texture was very gentle on my skin, which is expected in a coffee scrub usually. It didn’t have a scratchy feeling to it, which was SO nice.

2. Tree Hut Matcha Mojito Shea Sugar Scrub

Really, any of Tree Hut’s body scrubs are good. I’ve tried several scents, but the Matcha Mojito is the perfect scent for summer. Tree Hut’s scrubs contain Shea butter, many natural oils, and sugar to intensely exfoliate the skin. Since this is sugar-based, it is more abrasive than a coffee scrub would be. It still works wonders to remove dead skin cells and left my skin feeling soft and smooth. And despite the mojito mint scent and sugary base, there was no residue!

3. Herbivore Coco Rose Body Polish – Vegan

Containing virgin coconut oil and delicate Moroccan rose, the Coco Rose Body Polish leaves the skin soft and hydrated. The scent is a beautiful, light and airy scent of coconut and rose petals. This is also a sugar scrub but its soft rose, coconut and Shea butter makes it more gentle. It also contains Pink Clay which is where it adds detoxifying benefits to the scrub while the sugar buffs away dead skin. It smells great and feels great, leaving the skin super moisturized and smooth!

4. Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bod Buff Smoothing Scrub ‘N’ Mask – Vegan

Suns out, Bum Bums out! Sol De Janeiro carries the one-of-a-kind Cheirosa ’62 fragrance of pistachio and salted caramel. It comes in a firming cream, shower cream gel, body mist, body scrub, and now candle, so you can smell it at all times. The Bod Buff Smoothing Scrub ‘N’ Mask contains Brazilian quartz crystal as the exfoliant to pamper your body, mind and spirit. It also has tropical volcanic pumice and rice grain to help reveal the softest part of your skin, and doubles as a detoxing product with Amazon River kaolin clay. If you want a day in the tropics with soft, glowing, radiant skin (or if you’re just totally obsessed with the Cheirosa scent), this body scrub is all that and a coconut.

5. Bliss Hot Salt Scrub Body Polish

Bliss is probably my most-talked-about brand ever, haha so naturally I had to include them in this list. Their Hot Salt Scrub Body Polish warms on contact and contains natural sea salt and seaweed extract, so it’s basically like a day in the ocean. Together they give you super-smooth, glowing skin. I also love using this on my feet, because it instantly smooths even the toughest skin. And if you love stimulating the senses, be prepared to take in a beautiful scent of rosemary and eucalyptus for a quick aromatherapy sesh. 😌

6. Pixi Beauty Body Polishes

Pixi Beauty’s latest launch in 2021 are body polishes! You can choose their Glycolic Acid Body Peel to polish & exfoliate the skin, lifting away dryness and dullness. Your skin will be left feeling and looking silky smooth and hydrated. It’s a perfect preperation for body moisturizer or oil. If their rose products are more your type, they also have a Rose Body Polish that clarifies and nourishes the skin, leaving your skin clean, supple and smooth.

Body scrubs are a great way to give yourself a little self-care, which you totally deserve! And it helps keep your skin smooth, soft, and glowing, for the perfect day outdoors! These are my top 5 but I know there are so many more good ones out there. A good place to look is on the Cruelty-Free Bath and Body Brands List, because many of them offer body polishes as well! If you have a favorite you’d like to share, I would love to hear from you in the comments below!
