Cleaning makeup brushes is a long task that I just don’t like to do. Can you relate? Not wanting to clean them leads me to actually not cleaning them… and that leads to breakouts, poor makeup application, and angry skin. I know how important it is to clean my makeup brushes, but I just don’t do it. Why? Because it takes forever! Recently, I felt like there had to be a better way. So I did some research and found a life saver tool that cleans my makeup brushes in 30 seconds!

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes in 30 Seconds
I discovered this amazing electric makeup brush cleaner! The set comes with a handheld tool that spins the brushes, collars for different sized brushes that connect the brushes to the electrical tool, and a bowl to clean the brushes in. (See picture below.)
First, fill up the bowl with water and your brush cleaner. I personally use the Ecotools Brush Cleaning Shampoo.
Then, attach your brush to the electrical handheld tool using a collar that fits your brush.
The tool has a rechargeable base that once turned on, spins the brush to create enough turbulence that it cleans itself against the soapy water bath. This handheld device cleans the brushes in 20 seconds and then you take it out of the bath and spin it to dry for 10 seconds. It sounds like a great alternative to cleaning brushes manually, right?!
I found this one, which is from a 100% cruelty-free brand and under $20! I have been using it for a few weeks now and it is AMAZING. It’s super easy to use, my brushes are completely clean in seconds, and the collars fit even my largest brushes, including my Real Techniques Powder Brush. What used to take me a solid hour only takes me a few minutes now.
